Breef preview

What is Breef

Breef is a note-taking and study app for students, medical students, researchers and lifelong learners who bring their own material: lecture notes, books, papers, slides and recordings.

Write notes that format as you type, with formulas, images and files, and link ideas with [[double brackets]]. Every note and link becomes one map of what you know, grouped by course and coloured by how well you remember it.

Breef brings each note back for review before you forget it: a day after you write it, then less and less often each time you remember it. Review by reading it through, answering questions written from it, or going through your own cards (which export to Anki). Give a course its exam date and its notes come back more often until the day.

It also writes for you: record a lecture and Breef turns it into a tidy study note with the transcript underneath; drop in a PDF of slides and get linked notes; ask a question and get an answer from your own notes, citing the notes it used.

Free forever for notes, links, the map, search, reviews and exam prep, with monthly allowances for the AI features. Pro is €6 a month for more. Runs in the browser in English, Italian, Spanish, French and German. Notes are private, never sold or used to train AI, and stored in the EU.
